Historic preservation is a major focus of our community service and is shown by Trenton Chapter, NSDAR, members in many ways. Grave markers are tenderly cleaned while cemeteries are raked and pruned. Patriot records are indexed to preserve the history for academia and also members' research needs. Some members enjoy being docents or tour guides.
For more information see the NSDAR webpage on Historic Preservation.
Whether it be as students or teachers in the classroom, Trenton Chapter, NSDAR, members appreciate and enjoy all aspects of education. Many members volunteer as reading buddies at schools as well. The Trenton Chapter, NSDAR, is also a proud sponsor of the William Stroud Society of the Children of the American Revolution (C.A.R.).
For more information see the NSDAR webpage on Education.
If there is a veterans celebration or service in Aiken, there will be members of the Trenton Chapter, NSDAR, in attendance. We are so proud of our veterans and embrace every opportunity to let them know. Those who are not able to join in the group activities enjoy writing letters to enlisted military personnel and families of the deployed.
For more information see the NSDAR webpage on Patriotism.
