One of the goals of NSDAR is to preserve and protect historical sites and graves of patriots who have fallen protecting our country. Our chapter actively pursues this directive with passion and pride.
Supporting our veterans and active service members is a major effort made by our chapter, whether it be laying wreaths, attending memorial ceremonies, or donating our time and services to service organizations in our area. Our chapter has been instrumental in reviving the annual Memorial Day Parade in Aiken.

Our chapter recognizes the importance of passing along our country's history and its significance in molding our future, and so supports patriotism and excellence in our local students. We award Junior ROTC medals, American History awards, Women in History awards and DAR Good Citizen awards annually.
In addition, we support the William Stroud C.A.R. Society.
